All-around good experience
We were very pleased with Tim, his crew, and the work they did. He quoted us a price that seemed too good to be true, but when we called all the other contractors who had given us quotes, they quickly dropped their over-inflated quotes to Tim's rate; that made us feel like Tim was the only one who gave a fair price from the get-go rather than immediately trying to rip us off. He was very accomodating in answering our questions and showing us materials ahead of time. He did what he said he would do, when he said he would do it and for the price he said it would cost. The crew cleaned up the site so well you'd never know they were there. Made it very easy for us. Will use them again when we re-do the front side of the roof.

OK work, but shop's recommendations vexing
On our first visit, we asked about new tires & were told there was no need -- ours could go 20K more miles. Next visit (4K miles later), another worker told us the tires had to go immediately; they were overdue. When told about the earlier recommendation, he waffled a good deal and offered no explanation for the discrepancy.
We took another vehicle in for an oil change, & an employee told us we had an oil leak but would have to bring it back for another visit (& another charge) to find the leak. We looked at the oil pan ourselves and found the gasket deteriorated and the bolt stripped; the oil was leaking from there. A bad gasket and bolt are the first things a mechanic should have noticed when unscrewing the bolt for the oil change.
The quality of work seems average, but it bothers us that we got conflicting information and concerns us that they missed such an easy fix on an oil pan leak and wanted to charge us to find it during another visit.
We won't be back; the quest for a straight-shooting mechanic continues.

A mixed bag
We used Heidi's 4 our wedding @ Desert Botanical Garden. The staff of servers, etc., that night was EXCELLENT & pulled off a beautiful full-service meal & app. station for 120 guests. But I must give Heidi, Drew & her inner circle of upper-level employees an F. Quickly after signing the contract, we got the impression we were "small potatoes" in their eyes. Their tone throughout the process was condescending. It was difficult 2 get them 2 return calls, emails or postal mail; address concerns; or work w/ us long-distance on color/design samples. They lost our reservation 4 tasting night & when we called 2 re-reserve gave a snotty lecture implying it was our fault. They used props we had specifically requested not be used, & they did not serve bread w/ the meal, which was in the contract & on our pre-printed, plate-side dinner menus. Guests noticed. I worked directly w/ Honeymoon Sweets bakery 2 design our cake, but Heidi submitted her own order for it through the catering bill, & her description did not match ours. The cake was NOT what we decided on w/ the baker. The food was good & the waitstaff was impeccable, but Heidi & her upper echelon caused us more stress than we needed leading up 2 a wedding. Plus, it was a drag 2b aggravated on our wedding day by a disappointing cake, no bread & ridiculous props that didn't compliment our theme. And Nikki, who they sent 2 oversee that night, dressed in jeans 4 a black-tie affair. Assess your tolerance 4 headaches b4 using them.
