Drs. Goodman & Partridge, OB/GYN

I find the other posts about billing odd because I never had a problem. My bills were always reasonable and the care I receive is amazing! The other posters probably had insurance issues or something. The manager had to explain a charge to me one time but after that it was fine. My friend goes to Valley Women and she has had billing issues over there plus she hasn't seen a doc, only nurses etc. Hopefully Obama can get healthcare's act together

I was more disappointed with this doctor's office than any business I have been to in quite some time. My biggest complaint is dishonest billing practices. The first problem was being charged for a pregnancy test despite the fact that I have had a tubal, I was not told at my appointment that this test was being performed, I only discovered this by reading my bill. Then I saw there was a $25 "finance charge" that was never explained to me. The first time I contacted the billing department regarding the pregnancy test I was told everyone gets a pregnancy test regardless of their ability to conceive. WHAT? That is padding the bill with absolutely unnecessary tests. I really could not believe this. The second time I complained, I sent two letters, one to each of the doctors. This time I was contacted by a billing clerk and told that the pregnancy test charge would be reversed, this was a month and a half ago and that still has not happened. I was told I could set up automatic payments that would stop the finance charges. At that point I asked why I was not told there would be a finance charge up front, the clerk only would say that she would pass that on that I was upset, By that time there was already $75 of finance charges. It is so important to trust your health care provider and these dishonest billing practices have removed any trust I had with this provider. It seems more like a shady used car dealership than a provider that I would trust my health with

Like several other posters, I have fallen prey to Goodman & Partridge's excessive/fraudulent billing. I was disappointed to learn, however, that compared to the number of dissatisfied posters here, there were only a very small number of complaints filed against them with the AZ BBB. They need to be held accountable for screwing their patients & the Insurance Providers out of money. A Facebook group has been created to get the word out about their unethical practices, search for "Expose Goodman & Partridge OB/GYN for their Fraudulent Billing." I really wish I would have found this site before becoming a patient there.

I have been going to Goodman & Partridge for 3 yrs for annual checkups and had no complaints. Then I had a problem. I called to schedule an appt with a DOCTOR and was told there weren't any appts and I would have to see a PA. I accepted out of desperation. I did wind up seeing Dr Mangum, she is a very nice lady and scheduled some teststhat was a month ago, I have never heard back from the office regarding the tests, I called twice asking for an update and was assured they would call me back with an answer and never did. So when you REALLY need them, they do not come thru. I dumped them after the second call I made to them and found another Doctor and the tests have been completed with a week of the appt. Don't waste your time. I should have read the reviews on them earlier and saved myself alot of headaches.

I have been going to this office for over 20 years. I have referred many patients to this practice, and everyone that I have sent have been extremely impressed with not only the Dr's but also the staff. Not only do you get an appt when needed, but they also have evening hours and Saturdays, which accomodates most working people. I have not once had a bad experience in all the years I have been going. I will continue to refer other women there, and will always go to one of their many offices. By the way, you wont find a better Dr than Dr Goodman. He is one of the most caring and compassionate Dr's I have ever met. Koodos to this office!!

I really, really tried to give this office a try. Every time I had a bad experience with them I tried to look the other way. But I finally threw in the towel. First of all, in my 7 month experience with them after becoming pregnant my appointment was rescheduled twice at the last minute, after already being outside their door, they changed doctor without notifying me once, only a two nurses that I saw were actually friendly and interested, and the wait times!! I have sat in the doctor's room waiting for them to come in for a 3 minute consult, just to ask me how I was doing, for an hour! I had a new born I was breastfeeding and I thought, this won't take long, an hour and 15 minutes, aside from the wait time out in the lobby. They have a kids play area but no changing table anywhere, they did offer an ancient stinking leather couch, however. The doctor that ended up delivering my son wasn't even with their practice, she left because my son was born right when she was getting ready to leave for her shift. When choosing a birthcontrol afterwards, they weren't even helpful in explaining it, and the staff is not knowledgeble at all. I say their service is average because they try to get people in, but they don't value their patients once they get them. It wasn't worth my time because the great experience of having a baby was tarnished by my dreadful doctor's visits during my pregnancy.

I have had horrible luck with GYNOS in the past, and was pleased that I finally found a practice that was different! I have had nothing but good experiences, and would highly recommend them to anyone. The staff has always been friendly and outgoing. Caring, compassionate, and helpful. Dr Jarem is excellent and possibly one of the best docs I have had the pleasure of seeing. When I became pregnant , we were seen by her, and I knew then and there, I had found a great doctor. She really stood out from the docs I had in the past. She took great care of not only myself, but my family answering our questions, and calming our nerves about our pregnancy. When the time came to deliver, she was professional, and caring. She treated me like a person and not just another patient in the office. Overall, we had a great experience here, and I still continue to be treated in their offices. The doctors here are wonderful and I would strongly disagree with those who say not to go here. I think it has a lot to do with how you treat the staff too. Remember, they are people too.

Goodman Partridge are my docs and I have always had great experiences so I felt like I needed to respond to skaral's post because she has given everyone the wrong impression. If you are in the medical field and saw the report online or on TV you will realize that Shannon obviously had other services than she is leading everyone to believe. If you see the story online read the letter from the docs. The insurance company and the BBB backed the docs for how they handled the situation too. It's a shame the docs couldn't say anything b/c of privacy issues otherwise i think shannon would've looked even dumber than she did on tv. Don't let one whiny person complaining about a measly $92 change your mind about these docs they are great and provide so much for their patients. They are easy to get into, are friendly, intelligent, and helpful so try them before you knock them

I was billed for an extra "office/outpatient visit" in addition to my Well Woman Exam. I only came to the office once and should not have had any extra charges because all I had done was a Well Woman Exam. The office told me that asking questions and having a prescription refill written are "services above and beyond the normal scope of a Well Woman Exam" which I know is completely incorrect. It is totally wrong for them to overbill me how they did. Be careful if you go to this doctor, make sure you ask what their hourly rate is before you ask any questions..I have contacted 3 On Your Side regarding this matter they are investigating Drs Goodman & Partridge. I am forced to give this office 1 star but only because I am not allowed to choose zero stars. I have been going thru an ectopic pregnancy & was referred to this office by the ER. You NEVER see the same dr, you are only an ATM they do NOT care about what you are going through or respect you! you have to make special appts (MORE MONEY!) just to have a dr SIGN PAPERS! Very rude, treat you like walking dollar signs. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR PRECIOUS MONEY!
