Always a fun experience ~ I have taken many visitors to our zoo and it's been a big hit every time. Plenty of activities, such as the petting zoo, to keep the little ones occupied. The Sting Ray Bay exhibit is a unique highlight (who would think we'd enjoy these critters here in the desert)?
Zoo Lights is an awesome experience; they seem to outdo themselves every year. Best to avoid Zoo Lights on the weekends since it's become so popular (and crowded).
Visits in the summer are tolerable if you go early (they open at 7AM).
My favorite exhibit is the Spectacled Bears.

A great place to spend some time outdoors and see animals in a simulated natural environment. Also, the farm area has tractors to climb on and a petting zoo. Fun for all.

Buy a membership & go often! Every time you go there is something more to see & do. Very clean, well marked paths, wide variety of animals.

Family favorite for lots of fun, plus educational. We also went there for a company picnic function. We love to go and see all of the critters.

My recommendation is that everyone buy a membership - there are a ton of things to do at the zoo.

The Phoenix Zoo is great for kids. In the winter, Zoo Lights is a blast. Just be careful not to go when it is real hot outside.

I've been going to the Phoenix Zoo since I was a kid and I still love to go. The animals are everywhere. Just don't go when it's 120 degrees outside! Zoo lights is amazing during the winter and is a great place to bring out of town family during the holidays.

This zoo shows a whole different side to f olks from another part of the country and it was good to get acquainted with the animals in their own habitat. We really enjoyed several hours here.

I love this Zoo! I kept my membership even when I moved out of the state. There is always something new to see. It is great exercise. Even when it is crowded, you don't feel it. I love the 'hidden' rose garden. Orangutans rule!
